Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Set off the safari from your hotel/residence in Nairobi at 7:30 am heading down to the great rift valley (quick stop here for a nice view of the escarpment). Another stop will be at Narok town where you can grab any personal valuables you might need are refueling of the vehicle. You will make it to Masai Mara in good time to have lunch at the camp while you relax from the lengthy drive. Following lunch you can indulge in the various optional activities available and of interest; including guided nature walk, Masai Village visit or a relaxed afternoon as you prepare for the following days of wonderful safari game drives. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve (Full Day)
Have your breakfast at 06:00hrs and leave the camp with packed picnic lunch at 06:30hrs for 06:30 am to 06:30 pm game drives. Spend the entire day exploring the reserve in search of the big five. With over 450 species of birds recorded here, there is much to see including rhinos, leopard, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, zebra, warthog, Jackals, lions, many types of antelopes, crocodiles and giraffe. Whether you are a game lover or an ornithologist Masai Mara has it all and never disappoints. Picnic lunch is served in the reserve along the banks of Mara River, the wildebeest migration point. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve (Full Day)
You will have breakfast, Then leave for an early 06:30 am to 06:30 pm game drive in search for wildlife you never got a chance of viewing the previous day, and gain more experiences because you cannot predict nature and you will be covering different parts of the reserve. Masai Mara is the most famous reserve due to its large population of wildlife. It is one of the few places where all of the “Big Five’” are found. This park also boasts 470 species of birds and rare animals like roan antelopes and nocturnal bat-eared foxes. You will also see the beautiful lilac-breasted roller which is Kenya’s national bird. Back to the camp in the evening for dinner and

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast leave the camp/lodge and depart for Lake Naivasha with lunch enroute or at your lodge. Check in, have a little bit of rest in the afternoon and then head over to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride experience. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha lodge or resort.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast leave the lodge / resort and depart for lake Nakuru National Park to check in your lodge / hotel followed by game drives and lunch breaks. Lake Nakuru gives you a chance of viewing hundreds of species of birds inclusive of the lesser and greater flamingos and the pelicans. It’s also a rhino sanctuary, and water Bucks, Impala, Buffalo and Gazelle are found in the surrounding gardens. Dinner and overnight at your hotel or lodge.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru to Lake Bogoria & Lake Baringo
After breakfast, drive to Lake  Bogoria to see the hot springs and geysers plus the many birds that are here. After lunch head to Lake Baringo for boat ride ( Optional ) to see birds and ancient caves. Return to Nakuru for dinner and overnight at a hotel or lodge.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru to Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast, depart for Samburu National game reserve with lunch en route and game drive on arrival if time permits. dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge. 

Day 8: Samburu Game Reserve (Full Day)
Have your breakfast at 0600hrs and leave the camp/ lodge with a packed picnic lunch at 0630hrs. Spend the entire day exploring Samburu Game Reserve which is somewhat off the beaten path, so you’ll enjoy a wild game park with fewer tourists and a lot of photogenic scenic views.
You will get the chance to spot iconic wildlife, including buffalo, lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as species unique to the region such as the Beisa oryx, long-necked gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, Reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. It is also home to over 450 species of birds, including the lesser kestrel, vulturine guinea fowl, and the Taita falcon.
You can depart the park in the late afternoon and head down to the Samburu villages to get a chance to experience the local culture of the Samburu people.

Day 9 : Samburu Game Reserve to Mt.Kenya Area
After breakfast leave Samburu game reserve for Mt.Kenya area arriving at Nanyuki town base hotel for mount Kenya for early lunch followed by afternoon at leisure or optional visit to Mau Mau caves where the freedom fighters use to hide during the second world war and nature walk a long the base of mount kenya return to your hotel for dinner and over in Nanyuki.

Day 10 : Nanyuki to Ol-Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast leave your hotel in Nanyuki and head over to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive in Ol Pejeta conservancy for a game drive. A visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya, offers a unique opportunity to observe rescued chimpanzees. Rhino tracking experiences, lion tracking, and community visits add to the rich array of activities, making Ol Pejeta a prime destination for conservation enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a renowned wildlife sanctuary in Kenya, located on the Laikipia Plateau near Mount Kenya. It’s known for its exceptional conservation efforts, particularly for endangered species. As East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary, it plays a critical role in rhino conservation and is home to the last two northern white rhinos in the world. Return to your hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 : Ol-Pejeta to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast leave your hotel/lodge for a journey through the central highlands with lunch enroute continue on to Amboseli National park arriving late afternoon for dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

Day 12 : Amboseli National Park (Full Day)
You will have an early morning game drive to catch up with the African sunrise. A morning game drive is always the most rewarding since you will find that most animals are very active and fresh, looking for food for the day in the open savannah grassland. You will head for a day's game with a packed picnic lunch. During the day, when the sun gets hot, most of the animals gather near the river banks to quench their thirst and cool themselves down, while others, like the big cats, are rarely spotted, but when the sun goes down, some animals will show up. Amboseli has all members of the Big Five, which are found here all year round. The park also has a variety of bird species, with 470 species recorded, many of which are migrants, with almost 60 species being raptors. Your dinner and overnight stay are at the lodge/tented camp.

Day 13 : Amboseli National park to Tsavo West National park
After breakfast then leave your lodge/camp to drive to Tsavo west National Park with arrival at Tsavo West National Park through Chyulu gate with a great scenic view of Shetani Lava and volcanic hills of Chyulu.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/camp. In the afternoon enjoy a game viewing with a visit to Mzima Spring and rhino sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp

Day 14 : Tsavo West to Tsavo East
Leave Early in the morning after breakfast for Tsavo East National Park, which is renowned for its large number of elephants and the famous "man-eating" lions. We will then arrive at your lodge/camp, where you will check-in and have lunch.
In the afternoon you will experience an afternoon game drive in the Park by visiting the Aruba dam before returning to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 15 : Tsavo East to Nairobi.
After breakfast start your journey back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon with lunch enroute.
